Wiki templates provide a means to insert the same content over and over in different (or the same) pages. This saves editors the hassle of duplicating the same text again and again, and also helps ensure consistency.

Templates are generally shown with the format required to use the template (e.g. {{stub}}). Clicking the template name takes you to the template's page, where you can see what it looks like and how it is used.

There are many templates in Don't Starve Wiki. If you feel that a template belongs on this page, do not hesitate to add it.

  • {{Disambig}} - disambiguation page.
  • {{Delete}} - request for article deletion and discussion.
    • {{Speedydelete}} - request for article deletion due to vandalism.
  • {{Hide}} - provide a collapse table.
  • {{Incomplete}} - incomplete article, can add reason on it.
  • {{Main}} - main article of the section.
  • {{Merge}} - request article merge.
  • {{Notoc}} - replacing magic word NOTOC.
  • {{Outdated}} - outdated article needs update.
  • {{Progress}} - feature under progress, changes may happen and warn users about that.

  • {{Stub}} - article too short.
  • {{Tocright}} - content box placed on right hand side instead.
  • {{Upcoming}} - upcoming in-game feature.
    • {{Removed}} - removed in-game feature.

  • {{Progress bar}} - progress bar for personal task on wiki.

  • {{User sandbox}} - sandbox sign.
  • {{User sandbox/Tools}} - provide view/edit/history/purge button on the page.
  • {{Vandal}} - serious or 2nd warning to vandal.
  • {{Wikibreak}} - taking a wikibreak.
