The Glowfly is a passive Mob exclusive to the Hamlet DLC. It spawns from Exotic Flowers. It produces a ring of light around them. The population of Glowflies increases towards the end of each season.

There is 10% chance to drop Light Bulb when killed, and 100% when caught using Bug Net and then murdered in inventory.

Note that Glowflies can spawn during the day, but cannot be targeted by the player. This could mean that Glowflies are not meant to spawn at all times of day. Creatures like Pogs, however, can be persuaded to attack and kill Glowflies at any time of day.

Glowflies are considered innocent creatures, and killing too many of them in a short time can cause Krampus to spawn.

During the last few days of each season, the Glowfly turns into a cocoon called the Glowfly Cocoon. This cocoon will hatch into a Rabid Beetle. Unlike Glowfly, this Mob is agressive, and will attack the player on sight. The Rabid Beetle will cry out signaling it is aggro to the player and will proceed to attack.
