Jungle Tree Seed is an item dropped from Jungle trees in the Shipwrecked DLC. Jungle Tree Seeds can be planted to create Jungle Trees. They can also be used as a low-level fuel item. Planted saplings will not appear on the Map until they have progressed into the small tree stage.

Jungle Tree Seeds can't be planted on Checkerboard Floorings, Wooden Floorings, Cobblestones, Carpeted Floorings, Rocky Turfs, Sandy Turfs, and Cave Rock Turfs. However, the Turf can be replaced after planting the Jungle Tree Seed. They also cannot be planted ground tiles without a Turf, such as the Beach.

When chopping down trees, it should be noted that chopping down a Large Jungle Tree will provide two Jungle Tree Seeds, a Medium Jungle Tree will provide one, and a Small Jungle Tree will not provide any.

Placeholder.png Trivia

  • Jungle Tree Seeds have an appearance similar to Pine Cones.

Mosquito.png Bugs

  • If a Jungle Tree Seed is planted during Hurricane Season while strong winds are blowing, the sapling will slide along the ground, possibly out on to water, until the wind stops. The sapling will still grow up as normal, possibly resulting in full grown trees in the middle of the Ocean.
  • Relogging when seeds have been dropped on the ground can sometimes cause them to plant themselves, resulting in multiple trees stacked onto each other
