Wilson reading a note.

The Note is an item that had sometimes been dropped by Birds on May 1st, 2014. They were part of a puzzle, eventually hinting the release of Don't Starve Together, and displaying coordinates to be used on a special map. Other than reading it, the only use for notes is a cheap Fuel source. There were 17 different co-ordinates in total, which can be found below:

  • 1 (-16, 16)
  • 2 (-22, 9)
  • 3 ( 10,-16)
  • 4 (-11, -4)
  • 5 ( 6, 2)
  • 7 ( -4, -8)
  • 8 ( 20, -2)
  • 9 ( 2, 20)
  • 10 (-13, 8)
  • 20 (-22, 1)
  • 30 (-10,-16)
  • 40 ( 16, -2)
  • 50 ( 13, -7)
  • 60 ( 6,-23)
  • 100 (-14, 16)
  • 300 (-6, 13)
  • 400 (-18, 6)

Placeholder.png Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • When a note is examined, a line of code in the console ends with "It's Greek to me", an idiom expressing the speaker doesn't understand something. In this case, however, it is also a hint at the answers to parts of the puzzle.
  • The note can be used as fuel in a Campfire/Fire Pit (though it's a small boost/fire that results). A short time later, a new identical note will be dropped near the player by a bird when it flies away. That is similar to "The Thing Your Aunt Gave You That You Don't Know What It Is" from the classic Infocom text adventure version of The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.
