I'm currently working on combining the infoboxes from tabbers and I think it's not that complicated as we maybe first thought. Most of the Informations in the infoboxes of the same kind within tabbers are the same, the differences can be marked with icons (like or ), the different pictures can be implemented by using the gallery-tag
For Characters I've done this on this sites: Woodie (german), Wendy (german). Sure, all the informations from the compendium are for DST, but I think people looking for the DS informations don't mind if they read this informations too, as these don't matter for the gameplay. I've only marked the Favourite Food field with a DST Icon. In the article text I've marked the areas with headlines and Icons, so people can better identify, what section relate to what game/dlc. If there are huge differences, I wrote this at the beginning of the "Special Abilites" section.
For items, that are also structures (for example the seafearing kits and the carrat race kits) you can easily combine these infoboxes (I added a field "Spawncode structure" to the item-infobox). I've done this on this site: Year of the Carrat (german). I think you could also do the same with mobs that can also be items (birds, moleworms etc.), if you add some fields to the mob-infobox (like "Perish time", "Dropped by" and "Stacks up to").
The less infoboxes, the better. If you have like 20 infoboxes on a site, you have to scroll a lot as a mobile viewer to get to the information you are looking for (and it also can be confusing seeing many infoboxes in a row).
